A great first quarter
In the first few months, NUKIA Team worked hard. With Mama Leah, who we have known for many years and with whom we have also worked together, we were able to lay the foundation for a partnership.

We Searched for a suitable house. A small green house was found in the Kerege region. This is between Dar es Salaam and Bagamoyo.
We were able to take over this rental property within a short time. There was a diligent cleaning, the garden was planted and prepared and the house was furnished. Beds, kitchen items, tables, chairs, even a children's swing have already found their place. We were in a lively exchange and were able to take many steps together.
On March 6, 2021, the nervousness increased in Switzerland too - the first children are coming. How are you doing? What do you think of your new home?
When the first messages and photos finally arrived at lunchtime, our hearts became very warm. Welcome Anjelina, Nurudin, Abu, Kulwa, Alex, Savera, Issa and Allen. Such happy children's eyes, such a warm and carefree atmosphere in the new environment, such a nice meeting. Mama Leah was also able to win the first employees for the children's home immediately. With Masia, Mama Lucy and Godlove we were able to find all locals who also know each other well from their past work.
On the first Sunday evening we then held a video call with the children. Everyone told how you are and what you did yesterday. Full of joy and enthusiasm, the little children ran through the house with Mama Leah's mobile phone and proudly showed their new home. Nice to see how everyone is doing well and how Mama Leah and her staff make it possible for the children to have a safe and beautiful home.
We would like to thank our donors who believe in us and our collaboration with the local people in East Africa. In this way, helping people to help themselves can grow and flourish. Unfortunately, we cannot show many pictures here on our website, because the quality is not sufficient, but we can still do that later.
